My Thoughts on Failure

Effective failure is the act of becoming aware of where you went wrong so that you can correct yourself in the future. Failure is when you repeat the same mistakes which I have been guilty of many times myself.

When we think of the word fail, we usually get a sinking feeling. Am I right?
No one wants to be labeled a failure nor admit being a failure.

Now look, Im not saying anticipate failure.

I've learned that the best remedy is always to anticipate victory, to see yourself in the best light in whatever situation and to anticipate victory means to prepare thoroughly.

It's very difficult to anticipate victory without preparation.

That being said, because we are all imperfect beings - we still slip-up.
And when we do, we either become aware of where we went wrong, acknowledge and correct to improve or we don't.

Effectively failing at something means you're growing.
Failing at something means you're repeating a mistake over and over again.

See the difference? Anticipate victory but when you slip-up; acknowledge your mistake and then correct it for the future.

It's really helpful to keep a journal by your side so that you can actually capture everything on paper. It helps with your awareness of the mistake so that you can correct it right away and it also prevents you from dwelling
on a mistake excessively.

Let me know if this helps. - Gurmit
